Autopsy

The Autopsy: our traffic drop audit. The cause in three business days, or it’s free.

The Autopsy is a traffic drop audit: $1,500 for the first 10, then $2,000. Give us read-only access to Google Search Console, and within three business days you get a verdict on what killed your traffic, what it costs you a month, and what to fix first. If we’re late or can’t name the cause with evidence, you get a full refund.

02How it works

How does the Autopsy work?

  1. Day 0. Click Start an Autopsy. We reply with the invoice and the Search Console steps. You pay when you book.

  2. Access. You add us as a read-only user in Google Search Console. Nothing else is needed.

  3. The clock. The three business days start the business day after your access arrives. Business days are Monday to Friday.

  4. The verdict. The verdict, loss ledger, odds, fix list and AI exposure map arrive by email by the end of the third business day.

How we reach the verdict, in five lines:

  1. We rule out tracking breaks, seasonality and falling demand.
  2. We date the drop.
  3. We test your site’s changes before we look at Google.
  4. We overlay Google’s confirmed updates and check where the clicks went, including to AI answers.
  5. We grade the odds and price the loss.

The honesty clause: if the Autopsy says the loss is mostly structural or unrecoverable, we say so, and we don’t sell you the Recovery Program. This is a policy, not a guarantee.

Or take the verdict and the tickets to your own team. They’re yours either way.

Who is the Autopsy for?

It’s for sites that had real search traffic before the drop: visible in third-party ranking data, or with meaningful clicks in Search Console.

It’s not for sites smaller than that (the free Cause Check is the honest place to start, and we’ll tell you so), sites built on scaled or spam tactics looking for a workaround, or anyone who wants a ranking guarantee.

07FAQ

Questions

What if the cause is more than one suspect?

The verdict says so and splits the loss by page and query wherever the evidence allows. Where it can’t be split, the verdict says that too.

How do you put a dollar figure on lost traffic?

We take the clicks you lost, from Search Console, and multiply them by the cost per click advertisers pay for the same queries. That’s a stand-in for what the traffic was worth, not your revenue. It tells you which losses are big enough to act on.

What if we disagree with the verdict?

Every claim points to evidence in the appendix: dates, URLs, queries, counts. Check it, send it to your vendor, push back on it. That’s what the appendix is for.

Will you contact our agency or developer?

No. You get copy-paste questions to send them if you want to.

Can we pay by card?

Not yet. We send an invoice by email when you book.
